Chair of Governors
Trish Barber is an experienced professional with success within teaching and in the world of business.
Trish spent 25 years were spent in Financial Services as a consultant, an interesting and lucrative career, but with little reward in terms of fulfilment.
"As the children all left home, I decided to leave the financial world and look for a more rewarding career. I had always wanted to teach English, and to facilitate this I volunteered in a range of educational establishments whilst updating my English qualifications.
In 2012 this led to obtaining a PGCE and a post as a lecturer in English at Bishop Burton College, ultimately becoming Subject Lead in English, a post I held until my retirement in 2022. Education has always been my “go to” when I needed to change my life, and I firmly believe that is a gateway to personal development and a myriad of opportunities.
There are fewer greater joys in life that being to help influence young people to make better choices, overcome difficulties, and unlock their potential. A well rounded, supportive education is the greatest key to this".
Governors
Paul Reeve is an experienced and successful Businessman. Paul does not have a day to day involvement with the school but, as a Director, Paul can be approached to resolve any issues with the Principal or within the school.
Paul has a vital role to challenge the leadership of the school where appropriate.

Governor with Safeguarding Portfolio
Liz Seeley has assumed the role of Governor with a main Portfolio aim of overseeing the safeguarding and child protection aspects of Falcons Learning.
Liz served for 26 years as a Police Officer with roles including the supervision of a Domestic Abuse unit. This gives her an excellent skill set and knowledge base to navigate the required legislative landscape that is required for this role.

Fay is the SENCo at Falcons Learning. She is a highly qualified and experienced professional with a portfolio of Masters level qualifications and demonstrable experience of applying this knowledge into exceptional practice.
